Each bag contains $1000 face value in Walking Liberty Half Dollars, minted from 1916 to 1947 from 90% pure silver. These 2,000 silver coins contain a total of approximately 715 troy ounces of pure silver (over 1/3rd troy oz. each). You will receive coins produced at the Philadelphia Mint (no mint mark), San Francisco Mint (“S” mint mark), and/or Denver Mint (“D mint mark); the tiny mint mark is located to the left of “HALF.” These legal tender coins are recognized and easily sold anywhere in the world, or in the worse-case scenario of economic collapse they could be used as small increments of barter. Because Walking Liberty Half Dollars have numismatic value in addition to their bullion worth, bags of 90% silver Walking Liberty Half Dollars sell at a small premium over the “melt” value.
